How Flowers Keep Us Present

I have been a lover of flowers for as long as I have known what a flower is to be. they have been an important part/addition to my life. Every birthday, celebration and pick me up has always led to flowers.
If you ask men about flowers to some they seem pointless. 'They will die in a couple of days'. So? Who cares? The act of buying flowers is being thought of picking some that resonate to them and the time it matters.
Which leads to how flowers keep us present. To take in every passing moment of them being there. My boyfriend recently bought me some flowers that hadn't even opened up yet. so we both didn't know the colour of them. My reaction was that we will find out in a couple of days! How exciting is that? The feeling of the unknown but knowing that something beautiful is on its way. And lucky for me there were the most pretty pink Chrysanthemums.
But they will die but that isn't something to be down about, to cherish and to admire a bunch of flowers knowing that they will only last so long.
