The Silent Weight of Expectations

Dear capable soul,
You are doing great! You carry responsibilities with grace. But you are afraid to falter, aren't you? Because your heart is shaped by expectations, isn't it? Then this is for you. Let's take a moment!
Not every burden comes with negativity. And not all pressure comes from failure. Some of it comes from positivity and victory too.
From being trusted, relied upon, and expected to keep going without pause. They assume, "You will manage, you will adapt, and you won't need help. You can win, and you should win."
Often, these expectations are not spoken aloud. They are formed quietly. Being a reliable person someone can trust is a precious quality. But it comes with the cost of being bound by expectations. The weight is not their existence, but being barely negotiable. After all, what can we possibly say?
"Don't expect me to win!"
"Don't trust me!"
Or what else?
When expectations overpower our own goals, unknowingly we start working to please others. Just because we did it once, we are expected to keep going always. They make us ascend a throne we never wanted and urge us to rule something, which was never even ours.
What hurts the most is that struggle is only validated when seen.
Silent pressure rarely qualities and pauses require justification. Even rest begins to feel like an undeserved reward. In a world where endurance is admired and giving up is considered as "failure" or "incompetence", we rarely speak of this weight. Self-love contradicts
with strength. But think, does strength mean bearing everything or bearing what we can and what we should?
And this traditional motto of an ideal person, "Living up to the expectations of.…."
Have you ever wondered whether these "expectations" are truly yours to carry? If not, think now!
"Thousands of expectations, but what's actually mine?" Decide your priorities. Burdens will feel less heavy and you will find a genuine purpose of life, which is truly yours.
Keep working hard. Believe in pushing boundaries. But for your own satisfaction. Make sure you meet the expectations that matter the most.
