A mindfulness immersive experience has landed at the Site Gallery, Sheffield.

From 3 August to 10 September they will provide a space for reflecting and daydreams.

The gallery is open Monday to Saturday from 11am till 5pm and 11am till 4pm on Sundays.

It explores how galleries can be an Oscar for reflection, immersion and rest.

With their tenth anniversary this year, Site Gallery youth collective Society of Explorers have designed an exhibition called "Wishful Thinking".

Society of Explorers are a collective of young people aged 14 to 19 years old.

They have been meeting weekly at the gallery for the past decade on Wednesdays 5pm while 7pm.

Their role is to collaborate with artists and the gallery team to develop projects and create events and ideas.

The group collaborated with artists Lucie Kordacova and Gregory Herbert.

Lucie Kordacova is a Czech artist and curator of costumes based within Sheffield.

Lucie's work specialises in creating installations, sculptures and moving images in performances.

Gregory Herbert develops large scale dreamscape animations and installations involving sounds from field recordings that he collects over time.

His experience includes animation, film, sound and sculpture which has allowed him to create a series of workshops that are inspired from nature.

I visited this exhibition last week and didn't know what to expect and was curious as to how they were going to create an atmosphere of "Soft Fascination".

It was sensory based involving different colours, nature sounds and soft bean bags to sit in.

This was great as it created a relaxing area to be at peace which essentially is the aim.

I loved how they used visions and sounds of nature as that is a big contributor to helping mental health illnesses such as anxiety.

One great part I picked upon whilst I was there was a variety of walks of life, from babies to adults which created a togetherness as you were laid or sat taking it in together.

Not knowing what to expect leaving the gallery you could tell a lot of thought went into the process of the makings of this immersive experience as it made sense with each detail.

They definitely hit their aim of creating a space for reflection.
