Making Wellness a Priority

Entering the first month of a new year, whether you have already made plans or not, will always feel overwhelming and daunting especially as it comes during the winter. The harsh starting line that this year needs to be your best applies a specific pressure that at every waking moment we must be doing something that is deemed conventionally “productive”, however, in making this year your best year doesn’t mean completing fitness challenges or building your bikini body to feel a sense of achievement (although fitness is included!), it means putting yourself first and making your overall wellness a priority.

Now more than ever it is so easy to become caught up in life and everything that is turbulent and when we do get the chance to sit down with ourselves social media shows us an ideal and romanticized version of how our lives should be. How we should be partaking in wellness with retail therapy and starting the 75 hard. In fact, wellness will look different to everyone along with the fact there are different types of wellness such as emotional, physical, spiritual and creative!

All of these are vital in looking after ourselves and all require your own special interests, that passion you have for drawing? Do it! Stimulate the creative side of yourself and give that act of kindness back to you.
