Poem: "Seeds of Tomorrow"

  • 1 min read

I got a list from a friend

She is now walking around

All round, her ankles swollen,

Her back sore and her hair soft

And I wish so

It was a long haul for her

And for me so

And so she gave me the list of all

That she’ve tried and she did

A hundred and thirteen grams of protein, vitamins

And so on, and so forth

her tactic was - try it all do it all

My tactic is to ignore

Protein isn’t obvious to consume in such amounts, did you know?

Reluctantly I went to the store and bought

A kilo of chicken breasts

A slice with every meal

And an egg

In hope my breasts will provide

Someday

Breakfast
