Spring Exists to Remind Us That Everything Can Begin Again
When we think of spring, we don’t dread it. We look forward and welcome the new comings. The lambs, chicks, daffodils, rosebuds and the smell of warm, crisp air rolling in.
Why do we hold onto something that no longer serves us when new things only grow. Nothing gets worse when we let go. You might feel that way but in reality this is a lesson worth learning. We can’t always control our lives, we have to let the universe take charge sometimes. When you realise nothing is really your control then you start to feel the power of detachment. When you are willing to let the positive catalyst unfold, then things will roll in and just slot into place.
When you learn how to become detached in way that is not destructive, that’s when good things come. The feelings and the intensity you felt when you were first experiencing the thing you’re holding onto, are never going to fade. The memory will always be there. Maybe now, is the time to let go.
This is something I have always struggled to come to peace with. I hold onto moments, emotions, memories like I want to only feel these things. I don’t think anything better will come. Like the first time I experienced death, I was devastated and I hated that I loved so hard because the pain that comes with that is so intense you feel like you can’t live again. However it is not a bad thing, to feel so good, pain has to come with it otherwise it wouldn’t feel as special.
As far as spring goes, new beginnings come around. We love the beauty of them, but remember everything had to die and wither away before they took their new roots and planted them firmly here to stay and live the most fruitful life they can. Offering their beauty, their life for us to see. It is a whole cycle of dying and beginning again. If this wasn’t the case we wouldn’t see the beauty for what it is. Remember beauty is in the eyes of the beholder. Beauty is a reflection of what is inside you and how you perceive things. So if you have a negative outlook on life then nothing is going to be truly breathtaking for you. However, if you are at peace and find the beauty in little things, I guarantee your life will be filled more positively.
Don’t dread autumn, it is the time of fall. Things that won’t survive this season will go away only to bloom again later on, maybe even more beautifully. We all need a chance to change and evolve but we can’t do that while holding onto the old things that anchor us in the same space. There is no change without chance, and there is no chance without change.
Take a step back, a moment, to just feel all the emotions and bask in the silence of your thoughts. Stillness should be more valued. Breathe and notice the air filling your lungs, the atoms combining to help your shell carry out its mission on earth.
