When Will Some Parents Let the Bird Leave the Nest

Claims against the Beckham family have been sparking, with their son accusing them of mistreating him and his wife.

Brooklyn Beckham, 26, said his family has been harassing him publicly and privately since he began dating his wife, Nichola Peltz, 31.

Beckham posted six stories talking about the situation and said, “I do not want to reconcile with my family. I’m not being controlled, I’m standing up for the first time in my life.”

He also claimed that his parents had been trying to ruin his relationship even before their wedding in 2022.

During the wedding, Beckham claimed that his mother, Victoria Beckham, “hijacked” his first dance with his wife and inappropriately danced on him, and said he felt uncomfortable and humiliated.

Many users on social media mocked how Victoria Beckham hijacked his first dance and how Brooklyn Beckham came out to discuss it.

Others have talked about it on X, with lorimeganxo saying, “I am eating these Brooklyn Beckham Instagram stories up x”

But this sparks the topic: Are parents too involved in their children's lives?

According to a 2024 Pew Research Center survey, approximately 9% of young adults say their parents are "too involved" in their day-to-day lives.

But when will these parents let their children live their own lives?

With the increase in social media users, children usually come on social media to discuss their lives, especially when their parents are too involved in their lives.

If your parents were too involved in your life, would you go on social media?

Or does it depend on the circumstance? Many users on Twitter believe that Brooklyn

Beckham is brainwashed and is being ungrateful to his parents for the life that he had.

On X, dramabananna said, “Brooklyn, you have what you have because you are Beckham. Not because of the sauces you [sell]…And you only posted that to make your wife happy. So yes, she’s controlling you and your decisions… #brooklynbeckham

But even if Brooklyn Beckham is rich because of his parents, this doesn’t mean that his parents should have a say in his life.

What is your opinion on this?

Is Brooklyn being brainwashed, or is the Beckham family too possessive over their son?
