Am I in the right place?

A question that comes up often for me.

When you are young you follow what everyone else is doing and when you take that next step of not being a child anymore you wonder if you've just done what everyone else has because it was easier than to think outside of the box.

We are brainwashed to follow the normal order you are born, school, further education and settle.

That's not for everyone and doesn't suit everyone's ambition and personalities.

In this modern age you can get away with breaking the structure whereas 'back in the day' for example you would never catch a young woman to become successful and have no children at the age of 30.

There are so many different paths and many different paths to being successful.

Everyone wants to be successful but success looks different on everyone.

Success might be to your neighbour getting a dog and being married.

The next person might be on TV.

But trusting the journey is hard am I right?

We can look at this question as a physical place or a place mentally.

Waiting around for just something to change brings up the question: am I in the right place?

Of course you are going to question everything especially if things don't drastically change over night.

Good things that are worth it take time, I remember my old school teacher say to me short term pain for long term gain because in reality it might feel like a long time but compared to the final result it's nothing and will be forgotten one day.

This is where patience comes from what you thought would once happen and the place you imagined to be might be somewhere or something else.

Something better!

Things can easily change within a second something you hadn't even thought about and shake your whole world but it could be a good sign from the universe to move in a different direction.

Sometimes we make decisions and end up in a new city and it feels like you should be back home in your childhood bed saying goodnight to your parents.

Things can feel so right and so wrong but trust the timing you got here, there is a reason or lesson to be learnt.

It could totally switch and that's when imposter syndrome creeps in.

It is completely normal to feel like you don't deserve all these amazing things happening to you if all your life you feel like a wall being hammered over and over again

It's overwhelming, especially if you never imagined certain steps happening to you.

Just remember you deserve it.

You have worked hard to get here.

Making decisions stepping into a new stage is hard or taking a risk makes you question everything and everyone around you.

You take in how your life will affect others when really nothing should affect anyone if it only brings good into your life, then it will reflect positively to them.

It's all about ditching the comparison of everyone and focusing on what you think is going to work for you, you are the one that has to take each step everyday.

It is a selfish way to think but we have to be sometimes in order to get our own priorities in order.

There are so many different scenarios where this question comes up and always the same answer.

If I was in the wrong place I wouldn't be here, this is a journey, a lesson and a part of my life moving forward.
