What if

Recently a question that keeps coming up for myself and for the people around me.

Have you been in a situation where you don't know whether to try that new thing, put that thing out there or go to that place you wanted to go to.

All because of fear and judgment of thinking it won't work.

Having the confidence to take the plunge is really scary but with the right people around you and encouragement from them and yourself it can make it feel easier.

I definitely think it makes a difference.

My friends have felt like this recently and their attitudes have changed from what if, to talking themselves out thinking that way.

By turning it on itself and deciding no, I am not going to let my anxieties stop me from doing what I want to do and sort the repercussions later.

Taking risks are daunting and not a lot of people take them and later on wish they had taken those steps.

Going knee deep into situations is so scary but trust me you will thank yourself after.

Pushing yourself little and often makes the biggest things over time seem much smaller in the end.

There are so many rewarding things that come from it and allow you next time to be able to do what you want, without even contemplating it like the first time.

Dreading the future takes the fun out of what's to come that will have a positive impact on you moving forwards.

So many amazing memories are made when you live for what you are doing and especially with the people you are with.

Overthinking takes you out of being present and essentially living because you can't live in the moment.

One example from myself is moving away.

There were so many what ifs and questions I knew I couldn't answer and to this day I still feel like for the first part of moving out I was numb and didn't actually feel what was going on around me.

My mum has always said that the hardest decisions are always the best and it's always stuck with me.

Looking back I am so glad I moved away from home and started my new life with new people because now I am the happiest and most at peace I have ever been.

Feeling ready will never happen, most people don't ever feel ready for new chapters or decisions and that's a good reminder to understand that if anyone else was in your shoes they would feel the same.

Everyones what ifs look different on everyone and we all have our doubts but we all need a push out of our comfort zone and trust the timings in our life.
